Head of Asset Management

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise a multi-site renewable energy asset portfolio covering Solar PV, BESS, Biogas and Hydropower.
• Monitor plant availability, energy generation, performance ratio, equipment reliability and O&M performance, driving corrective actions and performance improvements.
• Develop and implement asset lifecycle plans, including maintenance, refurbishment, replacement, CAPEX and end-of-life strategies.
• Oversee budgeting, OPEX/CAPEX, cost optimisation and financial performance, including ROI, EBITDA contribution and lifecycle costs.
• Manage O&M contractors, technical consultants and key contracts, including O&M, LTSA, EPC and PPA agreements.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE, regulatory, licensing, grid code, PPA, environmental and corporate governance requirements.
• Identify and mitigate technical, operational and commercial risks, maintaining asset risk registers and mitigation plans.
• Lead and develop the Asset Management team, while managing internal and external stakeholders and supporting senior management on strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business or related discipline.
• 12–15 years of relevant experience in power generation, utilities or renewable energy, with at least 5 years in renewable asset management.
• At least 5 years in a senior management or leadership role within Asset Management, Operations or O&M.
• Proven experience managing multi-site renewable energy assets, ideally across Solar PV, BESS, Biogas and/or Hydropower.
• Strong understanding of grid operations, grid codes, TNB requirements, PPAs, energy markets and project finance.
• Strong commercial, contractual, negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities, with experience across O&M/LTSA, EPC and PPA contracts.
• Proficiency in SCADA, asset performance platforms, Excel and/or Power BI.
• Familiarity with ISO 55000, renewable energy market developments, regulatory requirements and sustainability.
