Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, relevant regulations, and industry standards.

  • Identify and assess potential contractual risks, providing recommendations for mitigation.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Projects, Procurement, Legal, and Finance) and external parties (contractors, consultants, clients) to ensure contractual obligations are met.

Contract Administration & Monitoring

  • Track and report project progress against contractual milestones, ensuring adherence to terms and timelines.

  • Maintain organized, up-to-date documentation and filing systems for audits and internal reference.

Claims & Dispute Support

  • Assist in managing claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes to protect company interests.

  • Provide documentation and support during negotiation or resolution phases.

Cost Control & Procurement Support

  • Support procurement activities by ensuring contract terms align with commercial and budgetary objectives.

  • Monitor deliverables, payments, and obligations to prevent breaches or penalties.

Legal & Contractual Advisory

  • Analyze and address contractual issues that arise during project execution, resolving routine matters independently.

  • Escalate complex legal or contractual issues to the Contracts Manager or Legal Department as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 3–7 years of experience in contract administration or commercial management, preferably within power plant, renewable energy, EPCC, or large-scale infrastructure projects.

  • Solid understanding of contract law, FIDIC, or equivalent standard forms of contract.

  • Proven experience handling contractual correspondence, variations, claims, and subcontractor management.

  • Strong initiative with the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with contract management systems is an added advantage.

  • Willingness to travel or attend meetings at project sites as required.ent.
