We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Estimator with strong process engineering knowledge, specifically experienced in Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) projects.
The ideal candidate proficiency in AACE Class 2 estimating standards and expertise in Financial Modeling (FM), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and developing robust Excel / VBA-based cost estimation models.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation & Analysis:
Perform detailed Class 2 cost estimates compliant with AACE standards specifically for FEED projects.
Prepare accurate, detailed estimates using semi-detailed unit costs and assembly-level line items.
Analyze project documentation including technical drawings, process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and specifications to determine accurate cost parameters.
Process Engineering Integration:
Work closely with process engineering teams to ensure accurate integration of engineering designs and process requirements into cost estimates.
Interpret complex engineering documents and translate them effectively into cost data.
Financial Modeling (FM) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA):
Develop comprehensive Financial Models to evaluate project viability, profitability, and sensitivity analysis.
Conduct Life Cycle Assessments to forecast CAPEX and OPEX accurately over the project's lifetime, including maintenance and operational cost projections.
Excel / VBA Model Development:
Design, develop, and maintain cost estimation models using advanced Excel functionalities and VBA macros for automation.
Continuously improve existing cost estimation tools and models for accuracy, usability, and efficiency.
CAPEX and OPEX Reporting:
Generate clear, concise, and detailed CAPEX and OPEX reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Provide insights into potential cost reduction opportunities and risks.
Benchmarking and Database Management:
Develop and maintain benchmarking databases using historical and industry data to enhance estimation accuracy.
Ensure data consistency and transparency in cost estimation documentation.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate closely with project management, engineering, finance, and other stakeholders to validate assumptions and align on cost expectations.
Clearly communicate estimate outcomes, risks, and financial insights to project teams and management.
