The client of ours is a global leader in engineering and consulting, providing comprehensive solutions for energy and infrastructure projects is actively looking for a Manager Consultant level professional to join the Global Advisory consultants team on the decarbonization across APAC.

 

The Manager Consultant will be focusing:

Industry Knowledge Capability:

  • Specialized Knowledge: Use specialized knowledge to create solutions for various engagement phases.
  • Client Needs: Apply appropriate methods to meet identified client needs.
  • Problem Resolution: Anticipate and resolve technical problems, occasionally with assistance.
  • Conclusions and Plans: Develop, present, and defend conclusions, recommendations, and implementation plans.
  • Quality Review: Contribute to quality reviews of assigned engagements.
  • Technical Issues: Identify and propose solutions for technical issues impacting engagements.
  • Best Practices: Analyze and apply industry best practices.

 

Consulting Capability:

  • Knowledge Transfer: Improve others' knowledge and skills through sharing expertise.
  • Relationship Building: Enhance working relationships with team members and client's management.
  • Quality Contribution: Participate in quality reviews of own engagements.
  • Client Expectations: Meet client expectations within the engagement scope.
  • Best Practices: Use best practices to develop knowledge bases and improve tools and techniques.
  • Performance Metrics: Define performance measures, targets, and goals to demonstrate business value.

  • Hypothesis Formulation: Develop issue-based hypotheses and analytical plans for testing.
  • Impact Analysis: Analyze the impact of strategic changes by identifying linkages and interdependencies.

 

Project Management Capability (where applicable):

  • Client Expectations: Manage client expectations within engagement scope.
  • Resource Recommendation: Recommend resources based on assignment phases.
  • Work Delegation: Delegate tasks to team members.
  • Risk Assessment: Use defined processes to assess engagement risks.
  • Issue Management: Manage issues in less complex projects or escalate in more complex ones.

 

Scope:

  • Targets: Meet billable hours and business development targets as set in annual goals.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Undergraduate degree in Engineering; Master's in Engineering or Business Administration required.
  • Experience: 5 years in business/consulting, including at least one year in statistical or financial modeling or data analysis.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 50%.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Undergraduate degree in Engineering; Master's in Engineering or Business Administration required.
  • Experience: 5 years in business/consulting, including at least one year in statistical or financial modeling or data analysis.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of energy markets, network operations, and power generation (conventional, oil & gas, transmission, water, renewable energy).
  • Business Development: Capability in building business development.
  • Consulting Processes: Advanced knowledge in consulting processes.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong human relations skills, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • Ethical Standards: High ethical standards and a reputation for integrity.
