Responsibilities :

  1. Be responsible for technical designs, both structural and electrical, at various stages from conceptual design to detailed engineering designs and ensure compliance to standards and codes.

  2. Coordinate with various internal and external teams, engineers, consultants and authorities to assess the project viability and resolve technical issues for solar photovoltaic (PV) projects.

  3. Establish processes, standards, tools, and templates for the engineering team to deliver industry leading designs and optimized solar photovoltaic projects.

  4. Review, comment and approve documents or drawings submitted by contractors before construction.

  5. Possess the ability to create and review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for Request for Proposals (RFP).

  6. Conduct site visits to project sites from opportunity to project implementation and resolve PV system challenges.

  7. Hold design review meetings with internal and external stakeholders as needed to maintain proper quality assurance and quality controls on projects.

  8. Assists development team, construction team and operations team with engineering-related questions.

  9. Work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage competing priorities and overcomes obstacles to successfully meet project milestones..=

  10. Possess good understanding on design aspects related to medium voltage design requirements on 11/33/kV networks.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in technical discipline.

  • 5 -10 years of project engineering or design experience .

  • Working knowledge of construction and electrical principles.

  • Solar photovoltaic system design experience is a plus.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite.

  • Experience with MS Project, Sketchup and PVsyst is a plus.

  • Highly organized and proactive.

  • Eager to learn and develop a deeper understanding of PV design and construction.

  • Able to work independently and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.

  • Able to work in tandem with a global team of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Must be able to travel as required.
