A global energy and engineering consultancy specializing in wind, solar, hydropower, and energy storage systems is expanding and they are actively looking for someone with immediate experience to join their HR team in Kobe, Japan.
This consultative, service-minded HR Generalists role will focus on;
• Manage payroll activities for both local and expatriate employees.
• Oversee pension and social security matters.
• Address HR-related queries promptly and effectively from internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with international assignments and provide support.
• Contribute innovative ideas to enhance existing policies, procedures, and manuals.
• Administer employee benefits in accordance with local procedures.
• Support the reporting of overtime and absences.
• Assist with internal and external HR audits and inspections.
• Aid the HR Team Leader in various HR tasks as needed.
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in HR.
• 5+ years of HR experience, particularly in payroll and social security handling (progressive HR responsibility preferred).
• Demonstrated experience across various HR functions and processes.
• Preferably, experience in an international company with a global shared service model.
• General understanding of local tax, labor laws, and regulations.
• Knowledge of Global mobility and Oracle/HR module is a plus.
• Effective planning and operational skills to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Proficient command of written and spoken English is essential.
• Business-level Japanese language proficiency (including Kanji/Katakana) is mandatory.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with cultural sensitivity.
