Our client is primarily involved in the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of oil and gas projects, both offshore and onshore in the Middle East. They're looking for a Senior & Lead Project Expeditor.

LEAD PROJECT EXPEDITOR

Requirements :

  • B.Sc. in Engineering
  • 9 years overall experience in similar field in Oil & Gas Industries.
  • Have the capacity to take charge while still addressing the concerns and individuality of any team members.
  • Ability to productively handle grievances
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to discern what's most important and to allot your own and your team's time accordingly.
  • Ability to gauge different solutions to inevitable problems and select the one most likely to bring about the results you need.
  • Skilled in preparing clear, comprehensive correspondence and reports.
  • Knowledge of general business practices and administrative procedures and oral communication regarding technical and contractual matters with both project and supplier personnel.
  • Ability to initiate/manage cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Able to effectively utilize a personal computer in day to day work, and utilize software programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, online system and similar programs.
  • Decisive, perceptive, analytical, has the talent for analyzing situations and reaching constructive recommended actions, responsive to the projects strategies and various situations.

Roles :

  • Ensure the full awareness and implementation of the requirements of the environmental management system and the applicable environmental laws, regulations, codes, standards.
  • Ensure the full awareness and implementation of the requirements of the quality management system by all Expeditors.
  • Advise Procurement Manager and Project Manager on any unusual or potential critical deliveries as well as coordinate with them for any assistance / guidance for resolving of generic and specific delivery problems
  • Establishing Procurement EXPEDITING Procedure for a project.
  • Implement any additional and appropriate strategy against lessons learned.
  • Coordinate and supervise all the EXPEDITING activities for the assigned Project.
  • Represent EXPEDITING at Project Procurement review meetings and project management meetings (whenever required)
  • Exercise all efforts and resources necessary to achieve all EXPEDITING function objectives for the assigned project requirements for committed delivery improvement.
  • Quality Assurance of the Material Status Report.
  • Ensure that areas of potential problems will be individually highlighted by issuance of an exception report and recovery plan for late activities identifying VENDOR(S)’ action to recover the delivery slippage.
  • Participate in the overall VENDOR performance evaluation

SENIOR PROJECT EXPEDITOR

Requirements :

  • B.Sc. in Engineering
  • 6 years overall experience in similar field of Projects Material Management in oil & gas.
  • Generic familiarity with projects equipment / materials major components / usage, capability in identifying fabrication bottlenecks and programs analysis to give inputs to recommendation for better performance, knowledge and experience in overall materials procurement aspects, fabrication programs interpretation and analysis, progress verification and reporting, awareness to some familiarity with other fabrication aspects as VENDOR’S quality surveillance and shipping major related procedures and methods for projects in oil & gas chemical industries with multi interfaces with engineering and other involved disciplines,
  • Decisive, perceptiveness, dependability in carrying out the area assignments, responsive, flexible, analytical and organized / systematic work approach.
  • Good command of business written, reporting and spoken English.
  • Communication skills
  • Computer literate

Roles :

  • Perform all EXPEDITING activities for the assigned project
  • Represent EXPEDITING at project procurement review meetings and project management meetings (whenever required)
  • Full awareness of the requirements of the quality and environmental management systems and the applicable environmental laws, regulations, codes standards and other requirements.
  • Advice PPM & Project Manager on any unusual or potential problems regarding critical deliveries as well as co-ordinate with them for any assistance/guidance for resolving of generic and specific delivery problems.
  • Participate in pre and post award meetings to review / discuss the preliminary schedules, progress report and potential problem areas that may impact the required delivery
  • Ensure that VENDOR’S bills of materials “BOM” are released, sub-orders placed, and orders expedited and received within a time frame that will support the VENDOR’S manufacturing schedule.
  • Ensure that VENDOR’S schedule includes time for disassembly, cleaning and preparation for shipment
  • Perform Area EXPEDITING.
  • Review Area EXPEDITING reports for content, completeness, and appropriateness and ensuring follow-up on action items.
  • Liaise with other project procurement staff, project document control and scheduler as demand necessary.
  • Participate in the overall VENDOR performance evaluation.
  • Protest in all schedule delays.
