Position: Senior Engineer, Project Cost & Planning
Location: KL Office, Other Work Site(s)
Key Objectives
As a Senior Engineer in Project Cost & Planning focusing on Advance Work Package (AWP), you will interface, coordinate, and manage Package Contractors to ensure the delivery of AWP in compliance with COMPANY specifications and guidelines. You will be accountable for ensuring the correct implementation of AWP across the project.
Principal Accountabilities
- Understand and apply Company requirements on AWP.
- Guide and interact with Contractors on AWP implementation.
- Maintain AWP software in real-time in close coordination with contractors.
- Ensure organizational commitment to AWP implementation on the project.
- Align Project’s Contracting Strategy and Construction Execution Strategy with AWP.
- Develop AWP Execution Plan, including staffing and training plans for Company and Contractor personnel.
- Assess and ensure adequacy of Contractors' AWP execution and staffing plans.
- Participate actively in integrated planning sessions to provide professional construction input.
- Ensure all relevant resources are involved and active in planning sessions.
- Monitor adherence to AWP aspects and report non-conformance to Managers.
- Develop IWP, EWP, PWP with extensive knowledge.
- Ensure construction contracts mandate Contractor's implementation of AWP, referencing necessary procedures and deliverables.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; relevant certificates on AWP from a recognized institution are an advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience as a planning engineer in Oil & Gas projects, with at least 5 years (one full project) as an AWP engineer.
- Sound knowledge of construction industry processes and practices.
- Hands-on experience in AWP development, implementation, and updates using AWP software.
- Working knowledge in 3D model development.
- General knowledge of engineering, procurement, delivery, and fabrication related to AWP works.
- Thorough understanding of the path of construction.
- Capability to manage multiple contractors and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in AWP software and relevant tools.
- Familiarity with industrial practices regarding AWP.
- Experience in various construction projects, including Oil & Gas constructions.
- Strong project management skills and ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent proficiency in AWP software and 3D engineering software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
