Job description
Financial Accounting
Support Annual Audits across all project companies in multiple jurisdictions in Asia, but mainly focused on Taiwan companies
Help implement and execute the Accounting, Tax and Structuring due diligence advice
Ensure the complete and accurate adoption of specific taxes, new regulations, and strict compliance with local tax regulation
Deliver monthly management reporting in accordance with prescribed timeframes, managing project companies as they progress through the development life cycle, with phases from development, construction, through to operations
Review of monthly financials, indirect tax submissions (eg WHT, VAT etc)
Continued review and compliance with Finance risk and controls
Be the Finance business partner for the Head of Taiwan, supporting her needs and being the key interface into the Finance organisation
Finance Systems
Help drive the Finance transformation agenda, by continuously challenging the status quo and streamline systems and processes
Deliver efficiencies and a “best in class” experience to all stakeholders
People
Effectively collaborate across a lean team of six finance professionals, providing financial control oversight, by effectively managing operational handoffs with all relevant outsourced service providers
Job requirements
A qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CPA) with over 8 years’ experience, with a demonstrated track record of supporting financial reporting and familiarity with IFRS
Exposure to project accounting as it relates to infrastructure projects would be a bonus
Has managed tax compliance, and is able to digest and apply technical Accounting and Tax advice
Able to build effective relationships across organizational boundaries
A strong and effective communicator and problem solver, with an innate ability to distill information into an easily digestible format for consumption by impacted stakeholders
A self-starter with a change mindset, able to identify risks and opportunities, effectively communicate them to seek buy-in, and successfully implement the proposed recommendations
Able to participate in molding the Finance function into the desired target operating model
Advance skills in MS-Office suite (Power BI, MS Excel)
Proficient with enterprise grade General Ledgers eg Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics etc
