In this role, you’ll be the technical backbone behind our Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, overseeing the design and documentation process from project kickoff to final delivery. Your work will be instrumental in shaping tailored, high-performance power solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Project Design

  • Take full ownership of technical solutions for complex UPS projects—balancing customer requirements, quality, and cost efficiency.

  • Act as a go-to expert for technical queries, offering guidance to both the project team and junior engineers.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, R&D, and Procurement to align engineering solutions with operational needs.

  • Interface directly with Application Designers and Technical Leaders for large-scale or challenging projects.

Supplier & Solution Management

  • Ensure all engineering milestones align with the project timeline, coordinating any adjustments with Project Management.

  • Analyze customer specs, highlight unique requirements, and support responses to technical comments.

System Design & Documentation

  • Configure and design UPS systems—including bill of materials (BOM), drawings, and calculations—according to specifications and internal standards.

  • Use EPLAN and other engineering tools for efficient design creation and documentation.

  • Develop PLC programs for custom features and generate non-standard manual instructions.

Operational & Testing Support

  • Prepare assembly (BB-Blue Binder) and testing (GB-Green Binder) documentation.

  • Provide hands-on support during assembly, test phases, and the system release process.

  • Assist in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and technical inspections, initiating necessary modifications as required.

Mentoring & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Coach and support junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and consistency in design practices.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Tendering teams during the pre-project phase to ensure engineering feasibility.

Experience:

  • Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 5+ years in the electrical industry

  • 4+ years of hands-on UPS design experience

  • Proven track record in managing complex projects independently

Technical Skills:

  • Strong command of EPLAN and electrical design tools

  • Skilled in PLC programming and technical documentation

  • Familiar with inspection processes (DNV, ABS, CSA, etc.)
