Responsibilities :
- Be responsible for technical designs, both structural and electrical, at various stages from conceptual design to detailed engineering designs and ensure compliance to standards and codes.
- Coordinate with various internal and external teams, engineers, consultants and authorities to assess the project viability and resolve technical issues for solar photovoltaic (PV) projects.
- Establish processes, standards, tools, and templates for the engineering team to deliver industry leading designs and optimized solar photovoltaic projects.
- Review, comment and approve documents or drawings submitted by contractors before construction.
- Possess the ability to create and review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for Request for Proposals (RFP).
- Conduct site visits to project sites from opportunity to project implementation and resolve PV system challenges.
- Hold design review meetings with internal and external stakeholders as needed to maintain proper quality assurance and quality controls on projects.
- Assists development team, construction team and operations team with engineering-related questions.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage competing priorities and overcomes obstacles to successfully meet project milestones.
- Possess good understanding on design aspects related to medium voltage design requirements on 11/33/kV networks
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in technical discipline
- 10+ years of project engineering or design experience
- Working knowledge of construction and electrical principles
- Solar photovoltaic system design experience is a plus
- Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite
- Experience with MS Project, Sketchup and PVsyst is a plus
- Highly organized and proactive
- Eager to learn and develop a deeper understanding of PV design and construction
- Able to work independently and adapt to rapidly changing priorities
- Able to work in tandem with a global team of internal and external stakeholders
