Objectives:
You are expected to provide reliable support to the local business while collaborating with the global Finance team. Your responsibilities will include performing Finance functions such as financial recording, analysis, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, and adhering to Group policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full set of accounts and conduct month-end closing in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the general ledger, fixed asset register, and other audit schedules are kept up to date and compliant with established policies and procedures.
- Analyze month-end accounts against the prior month and budget figures for profit and loss statement and balance sheet accounts.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, bank reconciliation, and monitoring.
- Supervise the local Finance team to ensure proper maintenance of supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments for budgeting, forecasting, financial planning for capital assets, cost monitoring, and cash flow management.
- Provide support for projects, including credit analysis of new prospective customers, system enhancements, and process improvements.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities for year-end audit, corporate tax, withholding tax reporting, and other matters.
- Responsible for local financial reporting, reporting to Headquarters, and statutory reporting.
Requirement:
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in managing a Finance team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player with a positive attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential. Prior experience with SunSystems is considered a bonus.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required.
