A regional renewable energy client, specializing in the development and operation of energy projects in solar, wind, and hydroelectric power, is actively seeking someone with your relevant experience to join their growing team. This position will be based in their Gurgaon, India office.

 

Qualifications:

• Location: Gurgaon, India

• Preferred requirement: Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy with Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), preferably complemented by a Finance or Business-related masters degree.

• Strong financial and accounting expertise, encompassing controllership, auditing, taxation, compliance, and corporate finance.

Ideally 5-10 years of pertinent managerial experience in a similar role.

• Demonstrates a keen business sense.

Background in the renewable power industry is a plus.

 

Job Description:

General

• Ensure alignment with the terms and conditions outlined in the Shareholders’ Agreement and the Management Delegation Matrix by collaborating with various stakeholders.

Act as a liaison between the India management team and HQ to furnish necessary information and reports for investment and approval processes.

• Generate follow-up reports to monitor actual performance against approvals, cash expenditure versus forecasts, and conduct roll-forward analysis.

Aid the HQ team in coordinating and preparing bank guarantees, letters of credit, and other financial requirements.

• Adhere to local tax regulations, banking laws, and other regulatory mandates.

• Analyze financial and operational data (where applicable) to create accurate forecasts for business, industry, and economic conditions, facilitating informed strategic decisions.

• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and profitability.

• Streamline processes and resource allocation.

• Assist in maintaining all corporate records and accounts.

 

Finance

• Cross-verify all financial functions, including accounting, financial consolidation, external audits, budgeting, tax planning, treasury management, and insurance.

• Manage cash flow and working capital, supplying cash flow forecasts and projections to optimize vendor payments and cash balances. Maximize returns on idle funds through short-term deposits and efficient cash sweeping for dividend payments.

Enhance returns on financial assets by reviewing existing processes, recommending and implementing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Ensure robust internal controls are in place.

• Issue financial reports and accounting statements in compliance with FRS and any applicable local standards.

• Oversee compliance with financial covenants and reporting requirements specified in loan agreements, including adherence to insurance policies mandated by Lenders.

• Monitor financial performance and operational metrics.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations in the Netherlands and India.

• Engage in financing activities and liaise with banking institutions.
