Lead Engineer

Our client is one of the Asia's fastest-growing FinTech firms specialising in the private investments and alternative lending space in Apac regions.


Key Responsibilities:

Drive the development and maintenance of cloud-native platforms, overseeing the end-to-end

software development lifecycle, with a close eye on technical architecture, code maturity,

performance, resilience, scale, and security.

• Oversee technology risk management and cyber hygiene practices.

Lead, mentor, and manage a distributed team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and

fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous learning.

Establish and maintain engineering best practices, standards, and methodologies to optimize

team performance and efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business, Product, Design, etc) to define project

scopes, requirements, and timelines, ensuring alignment with company goals and priorities.

• Participate in recruitment efforts to expand and strengthen the engineering team.


Key Requirements:

7+ years of solid, hands-on experience in architecting, building, and maintaining complex

scalable platforms.

• Prior experience in building cloud-native platforms from the ground up.

Very strong statistical analysis and problem-solving skills (candidate would be managing a

complex credit analytics platform).

Demonstrated success in project management, delivering complex technical projects within

scope, on time, and within budget.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferably a prior experience with the following tech stack and infra:

o Golang, ReactJS, MongoDB/PostgreSQL

o Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native data-lake & big data architecture

o Terraform, AWS/GCP

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, managing multiple priorities



Bonus Points:

• Prior experience of working with Fintech or other Tech start-ups.

• Prior experience of working with cloud-native Big Data Analytics platforms.

• Good understanding of DevOps, cyber security and technology risk management practises.

• Good understanding of Finance domain.
