 Key Responsibilities:

    • Interpret and apply project-specific requirements, including standards from construction, commissioning, and offshore phases, along with industry codes, classification society rules, and regulatory guidelines.

    • Create design philosophies, engineering specifications, process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), data sheets, calculations, and equipment sizing tailored to the project, and review these with the Lead Engineer.

    • Support senior engineers in drafting and compiling documents such as design philosophies and technical study reports.

    • Independently generate technical reports such as process simulation basis, heat and material balances, process control descriptions, utility summaries, line lists, and set point lists, as well as safety charts and cause & effect diagrams for assigned projects.

    • Address technical and engineering challenges by analyzing data, interpreting findings, and evaluating options based on experience, precedent, and professional judgment.

    • Take part in safety reviews, present process system overviews, and resolve any identified issues or recommendations promptly.

    • Engage in meetings with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and classification bodies, review submitted documents, address coordination or execution concerns, and escalate as needed to maintain project schedules.

    • Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning phases at the site, resolve technical issues, and offer remote assistance when necessary.

    • Document lessons learned in the functional area, log them into the Management Information & Measurement System (MIMS), and ensure project-related MIMS actions are completed.

    • Conduct preliminary calculations for PSV set pressures, line sizing, and settle-out conditions according to design parameters and alarm set points.

    • Verify vendor data and carry out calculations such as scrubber level settings and strainer pressure drops to confirm compliance with design requirements.

    • Review general arrangement drawings and mark up discrepancies concerning design specifications (e.g., nozzle placements on vessels and exchangers).

    • Assist in resolving less complex technical and engineering issues by analyzing data, interpreting results, and recommending potential solutions using prior knowledge and available references.

    • Independently or under the Project Process Lead’s direction, assess process requirements for various project packages, contribute to technical bid evaluations, and ensure vendor compliance with engineering and delivery specifications, offering recommendations in collaboration with the Lead Engineer and Package Engineer.

    • Specific responsibilities may vary based on the individual's expertise and experience.
