Project Control Manager
Assists the Project Manager in the overall control of Projects and is specifically in charge of supervising Cost Engineering, Planning and Scheduling, Progress Monitoring, Risk management, Reporting (internal and to client/partners)
Depending on organization and on Projects, the scope of work includes also Cost-Estimating, Contract Management, Finance Control, Quantities management, Document Control, Equipment and Materials Control.
Ensures project activities execution within Project Control disciplines, in accordance with Business Management System (BMS)
Provides Project Baseline and Budget. Estimates, controls and forecasts budget
In line with the established Project Execution Plan and strategy, allocates project cost budget to concerned disciplines and monitors expenditure actual and forecast evolution
Challenges and provides short and medium term picture to project management on project status, trend, and risks to the Project manager
Assists pro-actively the Project Manager and ensures the identification and implementation of preventive measures or corrective actions
In liaison with project controls and contract departments, improves and ensures the implementation of control team, control procedures and tools, then supervises during project life: Planning, Scheduling & Project Reporting (Scope management; Project deliverables, Project Structures Breakdowns, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Organization Breakdown Structure (OBS), Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS), etc.; Schedule management; Schedule forecasting; Corrective action, Progress measurement / reporting; Productivity calculations and analysis
Quantities monitoring, Earned Value Analysis & Management
Ensures management of Contract and change/ variation orders / trend analysis
Risk and Delay Claims (Risk Assessment & management; Delay Claims Quantification)
Forensic Schedule Analysis
Issues reports internally and to Client / Partners
At project close – out, responsible to issue feedback report and lessons learned, for Project feedback but also for discipline data-base
About You
The candidate shall have been educated to a minimum recognised BSc in Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 15 years working experience in offshore O&G upstream sector, with 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity, undertaking at least 2 Central Processing Platform projects of similar magnitude or complexity.
Fluent in English
Proficiency in MS Office and other applicable Project Control IT tools
Strong team leadership skills and experience with network management across different cultures
Understanding of the basic business principles for the O&G Industry
Knowledge in Law and contract standards applicable in the offshore O&G Industry
Thorough understanding and experience in Commercial Management processes and principles
