A client of ours is one of the solar companies in the Philippines, with a mission to accelerate the advent of sustainable energy. They are actively looking for someone with immediate experience to join them as a PV Designer (Engineer).

 

Objective:

The PV Designer (Engineer) will play a crucial role in furthering our company's dedication to sustainable energy by developing efficient, cost-effective solutions that incorporate advanced technologies, meet company objectives, adhere to industry standards, and ensure client satisfaction.

 

Job Description:

1. Technical Support to Business Development:

  • Provide technical support to the business development department, including technical site surveys and client presentations.
  • Develop innovative solar PV system designs that optimize energy production, align with project specifications, and create initial designs, including PV system layout, Bill of Materials, and other technical submittals based on the business development team’s requirements.

 

2. PV Generation Simulation:

  • Utilize advanced modeling tools and simulations, such as PVsyst, to generate accurate PV yield projections.

 

3. Coordination with Technology Suppliers:

  • Coordinate with technology suppliers to achieve reliable design solutions and support the preparation of cost-efficient commercial proposals during the pre-term sheet stage without compromising system quality and performance.

 

4. Technical Due Diligence:

  • Conduct technical due diligence reports after term sheet approval and before project contract approval and signing.

 

5. Final Design Preparation:

  • Prepare the final design before turnover to the pre-construction design section, ensuring completeness and adherence to project specifications.

 

6. Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address design-related issues and optimize final, cost-efficient designs.

 

7. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Actively seek opportunities to improve solar PV system efficiency and performance through innovation, staying current with industry advancements, and incorporating best practices into design processes.

 

 

Minimum Required Experience:

  • Proven experience in solar PV design for at least 5 years.
  • Proficient in design software and simulation tools such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, PVsyst and other related software.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willing to work in Ortigas, Pasig City (Monday ~ Friday)
