JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Able to perform routine Research and Development tasks (product modification; product

engineering; local product development; product testing) in cementitious products (Euclid

Chemical).

• Evaluate alternative and/or new raw materials according to test method and product

specifications.

• Proactively initiate and follow up all R&D activities upon stakeholder request.

• Assisting and/or lead the scale-up from laboratory scale to full production scale and

monitor plant production batches, as necessary.

• Provide support on Quality Control function and work collaboratively with cross-functional

teams.

• Provide technical support in testing and visit job sites (new or improved products

application trials) if required.

• Plan, execute and document results of tests and analysis, producing test report whenever

necessary.

• Maintaining laboratory procedures, job instructions, and other documentation in

accordance with the Quality Management Systems.

• Ensure work output and standard of the department comply with and consistently meet

the Company’s standards.

• Manage all R&D and lab equipment and ensure all items are well maintained and utilized

in the proper manner.

• Being aware of and keeping up to date with health and safety issues.

• Ensuring maintenance of housekeeping standards in the laboratory environment at all

times.

• Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned at any time and from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree/ Professional Certificate in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical engineering, or

related disciplines.

• 0 to 3 years' experience in a laboratory environment (fresh graduates are encouraged to

apply). Those with at least 1 year’s experience in construction chemicals/ paints and

coatings/ concrete/ drymix mortars will have the added advantage.

• Written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Hands-on experience and computer literate.

• Problem solving skills such as fast learner, hardworking, flexible, responsible and lead by

example.

• Highly motivated person with strong drive to succeed and able to work independently with

minimum supervision.

• Good knowledge and commitment to safety and health.

• Team player and able to collaborate and work effectively.
