Senior Process Engineer


Job Responsibilities: -

  • Prepare bid specifications and take part in ITB study.

  • Create standards and a concept for the work that adheres to the demands of the position.

  • Take the initiative and get involved in different engineering stages like feasibility studies, fundamental engineering designs, and detail engineering.

  • The preparation of process drawings, including flowcharts for processes, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment data sheets, instrument data sheets, and other deliverables.

  • Interface with internal disciplines including instrument, piping, and mechanical.

  • Communicate with customers and suppliers to determine project scope and resolve technical concerns.

  • Project planning, scheduling, and quality assurance.

  • Assist with pre- and post-commissioning tasks.

  • Capable at resolving technological problems.

  • Responsibilities include completing specified engineering tasks successfully.

Job Requirements: -

  • Ideally will possess a Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 10 years of expertise in process engineering and design with an engineering firm working in the oil and gas sectors. An benefit is having knowledge of LNG, ethylene plants, and silicone plants.

  • Knowledge of global norms and codes, including API, PTS (PETRONAS Technical Standard), SHELL DEP, etc.

  • Having prior expertise in plant modification, brownfield and greenfield projects.

  • Has the ability to work well in a group and is a skilled writer, presenter, and interpersonal communicator.

  • Knowledge of process simulation (PRO II & HYSYS), simulation of flare networks, simulation of gas radiation, Pipenet, heat exchanger sizing and rating, etc.

  • Participation in safety research workshops and process design evaluations by the project lead, including P&ID Review, HAZOP, HAZID, IPF, RAM, HFE, SOE, Alarm Rationalization, Plot Plan Review, and 3D Model Review.

  • Knowledge in AUTOCAD & SPPID is a plus.

  • PC literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project as a minimum).

  • Good command in English (spoken and written).
