This position is for a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer with expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and a strong background in marine/naval architecture and offshore structural design. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the marine/offshore industry, having worked with major contractors or consultants, predominantly performing detailed design of marine/offshore facilities.
Your experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) should have involved or cover most of the pointers:
1. Marine and offshore hull structures
2. Marine equipment (Mooring equipment, fairlead, foundation etc.)
3. Local check for complex models (lifting padeye etc)
4. Addressing buckling problems
5. Resolving resonance problems
6. Performing 3D modeling of structures using tools such as RHINOCEROS, Solidworks, Designmodeller, and Spaceclaim
7. Ship collision
8. Participating in pile selection for LNG terminal jetty design
