PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Experience in the QC, construction and running of reservoir simulation models for both history matching and forecasting purposes. Experience in the redevelopment of brownfield through the use of IOR and EOR techniques is an added advantage.

  • Work with Geophysical and Geological team on building the simulation model and on gathering input data for simulation model.

  • Conduct analytical and empirical reservoir studies for producing and pre-development reservoirs (in existing production blocks and exploration blocks).

  • Develop Reservoir Management plan and Reservoir Depletion strategy.

  • Conduct Field Development Planning to optimise well locations and count, well utilities, pressure maintenance and production optimization.

  • Write FDP and/or updates for field re-development and secure technical approval for those plans through internal and external (Partners and Regulators) processes

  • Evaluate enhanced oil production opportunities and diagnostics/mitigation of abnormal well behaviors.

  • Make long term production forecasts for planning exercises and economic evaluations in support of reserve booking.

  • Execute regular reporting exercises such as reserves reporting and adhoc requests by Partners and Regulators.

  • Maintain and update reservoir engineering database (core and fluid analysis and pressure surveys while drilling).

  • Provide support to other departments (Reservoir Surveillance & Operations, Operations, Projects and Drilling & Completion Departments) in delivering works/objectives.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ideally should hold a B.Sc / B.A. or higher degree in Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or Equivalent

  • Ideally 10+ years industry experience with minimum 5 years’ experience in an Operator environment.

  • Ability and willingness to work with-in a multi-discipline multi-national team.

  • In-depth proficiency in reservoir simulation and classical reservoir engineering techniques.

  • Experience in drilling activities.

  • Reservoir performance and forecasting expertise.

  • Reservoir fluid and rock assessment.

  • Fluid typing and basic processing requirements.

  • Strong work planning skills, coordination skills with subsurface team members.

  • Possess strong analytical skills, good presentation and documentation skills.

Skills

  • Proficient in wide range of reservoir simulation software packages.

  • Experienced in full range of basic engineering criteria, including logging, PVT and core analysis.

  • Communication of complex engineering concepts.
