Reporting to Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for:
Freight strategy and cost management as measure by freight cost as a percentage of sales.
Balance between company managed forwarders and customer managed forwarder, cost of origin and cost of destination, cost by company and cost by customers
Own the accuracy of landing cost multipliers;
Will work with plants and OEM vendors to improve packaging to protect shipment as well as to increase the load rate inside the containers.
Play consultative role in international trade and logistics including cross country free trade agreements, country of origin certification, customs regulations, commodity inspection regimes, product certification regimes, HS code issues etc.;
Own the supplier strategy and contractor strategy across all APAC markets and plants. Need to coordinate with market supply chain and plant supply chain for strategy alignment;
In charge of freight (all transport modes) and 3PL sourcing, contract negotiation, payment and vendor management (strategic relationship, KPI performance and payment);
Own and drive shipment consolidation operations and capability evolution as a way to improve cost for company and distributors as well as to improve lead times to destinations.
Play consultative role in warehouse design, warehouse equipment selection, fit-up management, warehouse capacity modelling, warehouse labor modelling, shifting and safety in both owned-and-operated warehouse as well as 3PL warehouses;
Enabling Ecommerce in target APAC markets from a logistics capability angle;
Own Capex and Opex planning for all self-owned and outsourced facilities together with local supply chain teams
