BASIC FUNCTIONS
  • Reporting to the Country Manager this position is responsible for developing and implementing sales target at retail customer base and e-commerce area in Malaysia. The incumbent is to drive the retail sales and e-commerce sales business of Malaysia, formulate sales strategy, develop sales forecast, and direct retailers and e-commerce enabler to achieve sales targets; pursue major prospects and lead in major negotiations; conduct sales training to distributors/dealers.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Retail Sales:
  • Understand and monitor distributors, dealers, retailers, competitors and other market information.
  • Maintain a close connection with distributors, dealers and retailers in respective region.
  • Coordinate, develop, evaluate and audit yearly budget of retail and e-commerce development execution in respective region.
  • Develop and supervise a strategic, consistent and long-term retail sales network.
  • Recommend, guide, develop and assess new retail sales network.
  • Advise on problem solving methods in relation to distributors, dealers, retailers and customer complaints.
  • Coordinate the retail activities in respective region in order to achieve the sales objectives.
  • Provide training and guidance to the sales teams in distributors/dealers to increase awareness of the importance and profitability of retail market.
  • Maintain the competitiveness of the retail sales activities and be well-versed on the retail market situation and the competition.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
  • Report to Country Manager – K&B Malaysia
  • Communicate with different people in the retail market, and distributors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • University graduate or above with strong business acumen
  • At least 5-6 years of experience in retail development or sales management preferably gained from plumbing or consumer durable manufacturing industries, with experience in managing distributors and market development. Good training, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
