Responsibilities

 

  • Implement annual contracting and procurement strategies for circa ~700kte of bulk cargo movements, managing contracts and ensuring compliance.
  • Regional logistics optimization and operations, including coordination with the commercial team and export-capable joint ventures.
  • Accountable for logistics activities in Asia, Europe, and the Americas, controlling annual costs of USD 50m with sales value exceeding USD 500m.
  • Network with brokers, shipowners, and industry partners for up-to-date market intelligence and competitive freight rates.
  • Optimize shipping costs, resolve operational matters, and participate in business development projects.

 

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Implement regional logistics strategies for competitive freight rates and efficient supply-demand balance.
  • Schedule vessel and vessel space for shipping deliveries.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers, agents, customers, and shipbrokers.
  • Assist commercial and supplying sites’ teams and facilitate the Order-to-Cash process.
  • Oversee freight costs, handle demurrage claims, and identify areas for improvement.

 

 

Ideal Qualifications

 

  • BSc holder or proven experience in practical or applicable work scope is acceptable.
  • Minimum of 8-10 + years’ experience in areas involving supply chain planning, marine logistics (bulk liquid) activities and vessel chartering.
  • Experience in vessel chartering or liquid bulk logistics is a must.
