Lead and oversee Project Execution covering both Offshore EPCIC and Onshore

Engineer, SSHE Integration considerations throughout all EPCIC/EPCC phases. establishing and implementing the Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental (SSHE) Management & Execution Plan

 

General Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitor and supervise each EPCIC/EPCC packages to ensure safe work practices and compliance with the SSHE Management & Execution Plan and all relevant SSHE programs (as outlined in EXHIBITE L- SSHE requirements).
  • Collaborate with internal organizations, contractors, and external stakeholders to minimize operational risks through effective SSHE Management Systems (SSHE-MS) before and during project execution.
  • Monitor Contractor SSHE performance, inspect Fabrication yards and onboard Contractors’ marine spread/vessels, and provide SSHE improvement recommendations to CSR and Contractors as needed.
  • Participate in Project SSHE Meetings, HAZID workshops, and Risk Assessments for major Construction events and Offshore works.
  • Participate in and witness incident investigations, reviewing incident investigation reports and close-out reports prepared by EPCIC/EPCC Contractors.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for related SSHE matters to the Project SSHE site team and Contractors’ SSHE team.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Science (Physics, Biology, Environmental or Chemistry), Engineering, Safety, industrial Hygiene or equivalent professional qualification in related fields.
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years’ SSHE experience in Major Oil & Gas Onshore & Offshore Construction Projects involving both Client side (with major O&G Companies) and EPCIC/EPCC Contractor side (with major Malaysian and/or International EPCIC/EPCC Contractors)
  • Three (3) years of experience in a Deputy SSHE Management / Supervisor Role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as of experience an SSHE Engineer, Lead and/or Supervisor in EPCIC/EPCC Phase of Oil & Gas Projects.
  • Extensive knowledge and familiarity with International Safety Standard and best practice. Experience in Malaysia Safety, Security, Health and Environmental regulations relating to Oil & Gas industry and Construction works (advantage but not required).
  • Competence in providing SSHE management, advice, and support for on-site Construction Project, including but not limited to SSHE Management & Execution Plan, Emergency Response Plans (ERPs), SSHEMS, SSHE plans and procedures, Job Safety Assessments, Permits to Work, Incident investigation, SSHE Coach and mentor in SSHE improvement programs, etc. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills, selecting appropriate methods and techniques for achieving solutions. 
  • High level of interpersonal skills and integrity.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with project teams, Contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills to promote SSHE culture and deliver effective SSHE training.
