Responsibilities:
Identify and build business relationships with new prospects as well as with new groups within existing accounts (sales calls, lead follow up, on-site seminars, trade shows, and user meetings).
Effective management and support of local third-party distributors in the territory.
Communicate with management-level decision makers to structure new deals and build upon existing business relationships.
Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the assigned territory, including the use of Salesforce to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.
Insure transactions and orders from customers and distributors to Client Services/Technical Scientific Support teams are accurate and complete.
Attend and participate in training meetings at least twice a month.
Maintain an accurate sales forecast, which must be updated weekly
Performs other duties as required and assigned.
Requirements:
A minimum education of a M.S. in Pharmacology, Cell Biology or Biochemistry, Ph.D./M.D. preferred
In-depth knowledge of the drug discovery and development process, especially in the territory.
Five years of successful technical sales experience.
Fluency in discussing science in the local language
Fluency in spoken and written English
Self-starter who is a result and success oriented individual with the proven ability to develop and follow through on sales tasks and plans.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Ability to respond effectively to scientific inquiries and quickly address the appropriate internal contacts.
Ability to travel (30%) with overnight stays globally
