FPSO INSTALLATION ENGINEER
Our client is a leading provider of floating production solutions such as FPSOs and TLPs to the offshore oil & gas industry and provides engineering design and consultancy services to support oil and gas extraction and offshore exploration activities.
The FPSO (Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading) Installation Engineer plays a crucial role in the offshore oil and gas industry. This position involves overseeing the installation of FPSO vessels, which are essential for the production and storage of hydrocarbons in offshore fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Will be reporting to the T&I Installation Manager.
- Follow a project from the proposal phase through the design and construction phases up to and including the offshore installation.
- Ensure that all the installation aids and equipment requried for the offshore installation have be properly incorporated into the design and that during constructions these are fit for purpose and have been tested.
- Develop the installation procedures and equipment lists etc required for the operations.
- Collaborate with project managers, naval architects, and other stakeholders to plan FPSO installation operations. This includes creating detailed installation procedures, schedules, and budgets.
- Review technical specifications and designs of FPSO structures, mooring systems, and topside modules to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and project requirements.
- Conduct site surveys to assess seabed conditions, environmental factors, and potential risks that may impact the installation process. Develop risk mitigation strategies accordingly.
- Coordinate procurement activities related to equipment, materials, and services required for FPSO installation. Manage logistics to ensure timely delivery of components to the installation site.
- Oversee the execution of FPSO installation operations, including mooring system deployment, hull ballasting, topside module integration, and commissioning activities. Ensure compliance with project timelines and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Needs to be Singaporean / Singapore PR
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional) are a plus.
- Proven experience in offshore oil and gas projects, with a focus on FPSO installation or marine construction.
- Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles, offshore installation techniques, and industry regulations (e.g., API, ABS, DNV).
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) for planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
