Senior Marine Package Engineer

 

 

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Marine Package Engineer to independently manage requisitions for marine mechanical component packages in various projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to technical requirements.

 

 

• Understand and interpret specifications for marine mechanical packages and equipment, including Essential and Emergency Generators, Non-API Pumps, Fire Water Pumps, Garco Pumps, Inert Gas Generator Packages, Low and High Foam Expansion Packages, etc.

• Design mechanical marine vendor packaged equipment in compliance with international codes such as IMO, SOLAS, and ASME.

• Develop technical specifications and requisitions for marine packaged equipment and systems.

• Evaluate the technical aspects of supplier bids and conduct thorough assessments, focusing on less complex and medium-risk equipment.

• Assist in placing and executing orders, reviewing supplier documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.

• Act as the focal point for liaising and coordinating with stakeholders.

• Provide technical support and advice during supplier shop quality work and site construction/commissioning work.

• Resolve technical issues using expert knowledge throughout package engineering, fabrication, and post-delivery phases.

• Ensure all business activities and decisions comply with laws and regulations, upholding high ethical standards.

 

 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering within the oil and gas sector, preferably with experience in FPSO and offshore applications.

• Experience working on EPC projects.

• Familiarity with design standards and international industry codes such as ASME, NFPA, IMO, SOLAS, and relevant classification rules and regulations.
