Business Development Manager (Updated May 2025) The ideal candidate is a persuasive sales professional with a strong ability to influence decision-makers and
translate strategic goals into actionable local initiatives. With a pragmatic, hands-on approach and sharp
analytical thinking, this individual effectively connects with diverse stakeholders and drives business performance
through close collaboration with local distributors.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Specification Growth: Drive sales performance and increase product specifications across
healthcare, commercial, hospitality, and institutional buildings projects.
2. Brand Ambassador: Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers,
consultants, and project owners to promote brand awareness and influence material preference for
flooring solutions.
3. Channel Development & Support: Collaborate with internal teams to lead, train, and support local
distributors—ensuring local setup are equipped to identify opportunities, manage inventory effectively,
and deliver customer satisfaction.
4. Identify and develop new business opportunities through new products and emerging sales channels.
5. Strategic development: Collaborate with management to implement market strategies & deliver local
execution. Work closely with regional and global management to localize and implement go-to-market
strategies.
6. Market Intelligence: Monitor shifts in market / industry trends, customer needs and gather competitive
intelligence with actionable proposal
Requirements:
• Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in commercial flooring, building materials, or interior finishes
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a multinational company environment, with a solid understanding of the
interior design and architecture industries. Equivalent experience in a distribution setting representing an
international brand will also be considered.
• Strong understanding of building materials specifications process and project-based sales cycles is a must
• First rated presentation skills with demonstrated proficiency in developing compelling proposals.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.
• Experience working with or managing distributors / channel partners.
• Good command of English, both verbal and in writing.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, design, architecture, or related field.
