Research Scientist/Engineer, LIDAR Sensing for Autonomous Vehicle

Location:  Singapore (Fulltime)

They will continue and further enhance its investment in the focused areas of vehicular interior cabin electrification & integration, vehicular intelligence & security and vehicular internet & connectivity.


Job Responsibilities:

- Craft LIDAR-based perception algorithm for Autonomous Vehicle.


- Develop semantic segmentation and object recognition upon point-cloud data


- Explore and develop deep learning approach for the above tasks.


- Sensing fusion of LIDAR, vision and RADAR data.


- Implement software programming to realize defined architecture & design.


- Behave independently as technology domain representative for internal and external customers.


Education and Experience Requirements:

- Master Degree in Computer Science or related field.


- Extensive experience of 3D LIDAR data processing, such as below:

• Pointcloud data pre-processing

• Scan matching

• Segmentation

• Object recognition


- Extensive experience of one or more of the following:

• Deep learning applied to images or video data.

• Other modern machine learning methods.

• Sensor fusion of RGB and depth.

• ROS software development.


- 3+ years of experience in C++ software development.


Preferred Skills:

- Experience in robotics, automotive or other real-time and embedded systems.


- Proven track record of publications in relevant conferences (CVPR, ICML, NIPS, ICCV).


- Excellent analytical, communication and writing skills.
