Senior Structural Engineer
About the Role
- Act as Lead, Sub-lead, or Senior Engineer, taking ownership of specific tasks within offshore facility projects.
- Handle the technical responsibility for material requisitions and ensure supplier compliance with technical specifications and budget.
- Perform and review design calculations and material take-offs (MTOs), helping to forecast material needs.
- Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Interpret and incorporate third-party data (geotechnical, bathymetric, metocean) into structural designs.
- Ensure engineering designs comply with relevant codes, meet performance standards, and are delivered to the client on time.
- Contribute to value engineering by proposing solutions to optimize material use and reduce costs.
- Review vendor documents, ensure quality objectives are met, and provide regular updates to the group leader on progress.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, supporting their development.
- Support procurement, planning, and other project functions when needed.
About You
- Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 7 years of experience in offshore facility design and project execution.
- Strong academic background (CGPA ≥ 3.5 or 2nd Class Upper).
- Advanced user of SACS, with frequent experience using USFOS and GRLWEAP for offshore structure analyses.
- Skilled in both pre-service (lifting, load-out, pile driveability, on-bottom stability) and in-service (static, dynamic, fatigue) analyses.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with SESAM, Abaqus, Ansys, and experience in seismic, blast, fire collapse, vibration, and wind fatigue analyses.
